CAF: AFCON AWARDS 2024

For the African Footballer of the Year Awards, I played a key role in shaping the event’s storytelling and narrative direction. I wrote three pieces that celebrated the significance of the awards, highlighting the resurgence of African football and the players who are redefining the game on a global stage.

My work centred around themes of pride, heritage, and the joy that African football brings to the world, moving beyond statistics to capture the emotion and cultural impact of the sport.

Additionally, I developed the overarching theme for the event, ensuring it resonated with the legacy and future of African football. I also contributed to the selection of the event’s host, Kate Scott, aligning her presence with the vision of the awards and the wider celebration of African excellence in football.
